Global Engineering and Technology (GEandT) Software Engineering is a unique team that develops a wide range of software from web development applications to low-level real-time embedded systems. For example, you can develop a web application that allows daily monitoring of vehicle driving, and create a computer program for animatronic control systems. We work with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) on future attractions and take over the software maintenance of attraction systems once they open. We support our Continuity Engineering and Engineering Services partners to keep the attractions running efficiently and provide required improvements.

Sr Software Engineer
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical background.
- Master’s degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science or other similar technical background.

Required Skills:
- More than 5 years of experience in application development.
- Experience with object-oriented programming, analysis, and software design principles.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle & Quality Assurance processes.
- Experience with revision control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or Subversion.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose quickly while maintaining compatibility with existing architectures.
- Ability to prioritize and switch between different roles within this position, while maintaining a high performance standard.

Responsibilities of Disney Sr Software Engineer:
- Develops and maintains multiple next-generation proprietary Disney software primarily focused on real-time embedded systems.
- Maintain audio-animatronic control system software and test updates locally.
- Maintain and upgrade systems that work with fleet management and enterprise management software as needed.
- Work and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at Parks and Resorts to test software and hardware innovations in the field.
- Review detailed components and assemblies, perform support analyses, determine system requirements, and collaborate with other disciplines to build, test, install, and deploy propulsion systems.
- Make decisions that affect the safety, reliability and performance of attraction systems.
